She was just 8 years old when she started modeling. Shanina was in a television commercial for Hyundai.
She put her modeling career on hold after she joined high school. Fortunately, she was accepted into an accelerated program that allowed her to graduate a year ahead of her classmates.
Shanina was encouraged to take part in the Girlfriend Model Competition when she was 15 years old. However, she was still too young to move to Sydney and pursue modeling.
