About Eugenie Bouchard
Bouchard started playing tennis at age five and was a member of Tennis Canada’s National Training Centre in Montreal. She grew up in Westmount, where she attended The Study, a private girls’ school. At age 12, she moved to Florida to train with coach Nick Saviano, an American former tennis player.
She won the 2012 Junior Wimbledon Championship, becoming the first Canadian to win a Grand Slam in juniors. At the 2014 Wimbledon Championships, she became the first Canadian-born player representing Canada to reach the final of a major singles tournament, finishing runner-up.
