Pedraza was discovered on her Instagram account by film director Esteban Crespo, who invited her to audition for the lead role in her debut feature film, “AMAR,” after coming across her posts on the social network. Maria auditioned successfully and secured the role of Laura, joining a cast that also included Pol Monen, Natalia Tena, Gustavo Salmerón, and Nacho Fresneda. The film was released in theaters on March 21, 2017.
